The Aponte family’s story is linked to the development of MSC. Infinity Holding Co SA is a separate young company: MSC’s decades of activity are not Infinity’s operating history or investment record.
Public sources trace the family’s business wealth to the development of MSC in shipping and related activities. They do not establish the family’s private asset allocation, holding structures or the assets of Infinity Holding Co SA.
In April 2026, MSC announced that ownership had transferred to Diego and Alexa Aponte in the final quarter of 2025. Gianluigi Aponte remains the Group’s Executive Chairman.
The Aponte story is first and foremost a story of enterprise. Maritime experience, an understanding of trade and a willingness to build over time shaped the development of MSC. Its history illustrates the difference between creating a business and simply owning an asset: knowledge, relationships and operational decisions accumulate over decades, rather than over a single financial cycle.

Gianluigi and Diego Aponte’s respective careers offer two perspectives on the same entrepreneurial tradition. The biographies below describe publicly documented milestones; they do not constitute a description of the family’s private arrangements or of Infinity’s portfolio.
